14 DAY TRIAL // THQ and Relic Entertainment are betting big on Company of Heroes 2, the next installment in the very successful real-time strategy series, and they have now released a set of screenshots that show off some of its gameplay.
The first Company of Heroes and its subsequent standalone expansions, Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor, set a new standard in the RTS genre and introduced a more action-oriented take on the experience.
With the full-fledged sequel, Relic and THQ are trying to push the genre forward, while keeping it set during World War II, this time by taking players on the Eastern Front, where the USSR’s Red Army is now a playable faction.
In order to show off the improved visuals of the new game, a new series of screenshots have appeared, which you can enjoy in the gallery below.
As you can see, battles in Russia’s snowy plains will be featured heavily, so get used to seeing lots of white on your screen.
Company of Heroes 2 is out sometime in 2013.
