Abundance Generation says this should remind people what Christmas is all about

Many people work on the assumption that “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Nightmare Before Christmas” are pure works of fiction. Leave it to the folks at Abundance Generation to prove them wrong.

The company has recently announced plans to “steal” Santa, and have a green, skinny guy replace him. The way Abundance Generation sees things, their doing so should remind people what Christmas is really all about.

Fear not, nobody is actually going to stalk Santa, hit him over the head, shove him in a bag and ship him to the North Pole.

Quite the contrary, what Abundance Generation wishes to do is promote its latest Christmas gift investments scheme in solar or wind energy projects.

The company maintains that, until soda companies came along, Santa Claus was fairly slim, and chiefly wore green. Therefore, their campaign is merely intended to restore order in the universe, so to speak.

“We're stealing Father Christmas from the drinks industry. We're reuniting him with his green coat because, once again, Christmas is about far more than acquiring ‘things,’” explains Bruce Davis, co-founder and joint managing director of Abundance Generation, as cited by Business Green.

“There's a fast-growing shift away from giving material goods, to buying gifts with meaning. We're pretty sure Father Christmas would approve of our Green Energy Investments,” he adds.

As part of Abundance Generation's new Christmas gift investments scheme, people can choose to invest £5, £10, £50, £100 or £1,000 in a solar or wind project in the UK.

“You can now give the perfect, green, clutter-free gift in the form of a green energy investment. Buy a share of a solar project through our Christmas Gift Shop and give your friends and family a gift that will keep on giving for nearly 20 years!” the company urges.

Granted, an investment in one such green energy project probably does not say “I love you” as well as a diamond ring does, but Mother Nature will sure appreciate it more.
