Customers will get to plug two displays into it, despite the size

Multiple displays are common on PCs, but not so much on the embedded market, particularly the market of embedded hardware, which VIA is active in.

That is why the VIA ARMOS-800 might turn a few heads. It does not only have two display outputs, but also two GPUs, one for each.

The graphics chips complement the 800MHz Freescale ARM Cortex-A8 processor part of the same SoC (system-on-chip).

Being a small fanless system, ARMOS-800 should fit well in vehicle applications, advanced industrial systems, etc. The rugged case will definitely score points (-40°C up to 80°C operating temperature).

The power consumption of a scant 3.14W will earn even more.

The rest of the specs can be found here, but no price has been released. Then again, that will be subject to negotiation with whatever businesses or factories start looking for contracts.
