When we first found out about "Windows drivers for the Commodore 64," we thought it was just a joke. After checking things out, though, we've learned that things were for real.

Meet Commodore 64x, a modern computer in a classic and even vintage skin! If you thought the good old days of the C64 were gone for good, think again, as Commodore brings back to life this ageless classic.

You get the same looks of the old C64, but underneath the grey plastic case you get a nifty modern computer which can actually handle all the tasks you might expect from your newly-bought desktop or notebook PC. The Commodore 64x is powered by a dual-core D2700 Intel Atom CPU running at 2.13 GHz on an Intel NM10 Express chipset, aided by a max of 4 GB DDR3.

As for the display part, the Commodore 64x boasts a 512 MB Nvidia GT 520 card letting you enjoy high-quality image with any kind of multimedia, including 1080p Full HD files. This reborn classic also comes with USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, HDMI and DVI outputs, memory card reader and PS/2 connectors. Add the DVD driver, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity and two included external WiFi antennae and you're in for serious online fun.

Commodore's own Linux distribution Commodore OS Vision comes pre-installed on the C64x and it allows you to run all your fav games from the other era, but this computer is quite capable to run Windows software via the WINE layer.

Download drivers for the Commodre 64x and enjoy it as much as possible. Goodbye melancholy!
