Electronic Arts has revealed that in honor of the 17th anniversary of its popular Command & Conquer real-time strategy series, a special Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection bundle will be released onto the PC platform, which includes all of the 17 games in the series.

The Command & Conquer franchise delivered quintessential real-time strategy experiences for many years, through its core Tiberian series, and spinoffs like Red Alert or Generals.

While recent years haven't been that good to the long-running series, EA is hoping to revamp it by turning the previously announced Generals 2 installment into a free-to-play online experience.

Until 2013, when the free title will appear, EA is marking the 17th anniversary of the franchise with a special Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection bundle, which includes all 17 titles that appeared in the series, as well as access into the beta stage of the new Command & Conquer experience.
