EA will launch the mobile version of its popular strategy title later this month

Earlier this year, video-game publishing label Electronic Arts confirmed that work had commenced on Command & Conquer: Red Alert for iPhone and iPod touch. The game seems to be coming along, with EA now offering a sneak peek at its visuals, gameplay style and other elements that fanatics will surely spot in the recently released screenshots.

A ShackNews report delivers not only the screenshots in question, but also claims to have learned of a release window, as well as other details. According to the site, Command & Conquer: Red Alert for iPhone and iPod touch is set to arrive in the iTunes App Store later this month. “We don't know exactly how much it will run, but we do know that it has a total of 12 combat levels,” the site says. The game’s official description can also be found there, featuring a lengthy list of key features.

“Experience real-time COMMAND & CONQUER strategy as the Soviet or Ally factions. Control the battlefield with touch-screen power in up to 12 combat levels.
