Director Quentin Tarantino has seemingly gotten over the betrayal that saw his newly completed script leaked on the Internet and thus gave away the plot of his upcoming western movie “The Hateful Eight.”

Tarantino has announced that he is moving forward with the “Hateful Eight” project after he previously shelved it after the leak and instead focused his efforts on finding the source. The culminating point of his witch hunt was when he sued Gawker for publishing his screenplay.

Deadline is now reporting that “Hateful Eight is a go.” The news was met with applause and cheers from the audience at the event where the director was speaking, a clear sign that everyone was looking forward to the movie and was bummed when he decided to quit the project.

The site claims that this announcement earned the filmmaker “the second biggest standing ovation at Comic-Con this weekend after Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron clip in Hall H,” just to give you an idea of how big an impact this announcement had on people.

If you're wondering just what was Tarantino doing at Comic-Con 2014, the answer is simple: he was there to promote a new “Django Unchained-Zorro” crossover comic.

He explained why he jumped at the collaboration, “I loved this idea, not only because I like western comics in general, but I also loved Zorro in all his iterations whether it was the Disney series or the William Witney films.”

“I thought it was a great idea of taking the most famous, fictional Mexican western hero and putting him together with the newer, famous black western hero,” he added for the audience.
