Even with all the superheroes and gods descending upon San Diego at Comic-Con 2013, it’s still impossible to overlook Riddick. A new, red band trailer for the upcoming “Riddick” has also premiered at the convention.

You can see it in full above, but *please note that some discretion is recommended because it contains language and images of violence that might offend.

The CG still looks pretty bad in places (it’s not uncommon for trailers to include scenes with unfinished VFX) but, overall, the trailer feels superior to the previous one.

It shows a better look at the predators Riddick must escape and how dangerous they are, but also offers a bit more background for the bounty hunters come after him on the planet where he’d been left for dead.

“Riddick” stars Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Keri Hilson, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Bokeem Woodbine, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Nolan Funk, and Raoul Trujillo, and is scheduled for theatrical release on September 6.
