“Superman” wasn't the only reboot present at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego. Over the weekend, another one made its presence felt, with promises that it would be at least just as good as the original film: “Godzilla.”

And quite a surprise it was, SlashFilm writes.

We don't have an embed for the teaser trailer, but we have included the teaser poster above: just click to see it in full.

“The teaser (which was shown twice) is fairly brief, with the camera slowly moving through an utterly devastated urban landscape,” SlashFilm writes.

“There’s even a building that looks like a monster walked right through it, and we see the suggestion of a six-armed beast lying dead in rubble. Then the money shot: Godzilla, seen from behind, turning his head to the camera in profile before emitting the monster’s signature screech,” adds the same media outlet.

Director Gareth Edwards was also at the panel, saying that, with “Godzilla,” he aims to make a realistic film and not so much a sci-fi movie, which could mean he'll be straying a bit from the original story.
