Comic-Con 2011: Robert Pattinson Shows Off Patchy Haircut

A few days ago, Twi-hards had a shock realizing that there was something very wrong about their number one idol: with his hair, to be more exact. Robert Pattinson was sporting a patchy haircut, one that fans got to analyze in detail during the “Breaking Dawn” panel discussion as Comic-Con.

As we also noted earlier today, Pattinson joined co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, and director Bill Condon on the panel at the San Diego convention, to take questions about “Breaking Dawn.”

With “Breaking Dawn” part 1 and 2, “The Twilight Saga” comes to an end and, while that doesn’t happen until late 2012, there are countless questions fans and the media want answered until that time.

While on the panel and, of course, during the press call, representatives of the press and fans at Comic-Con were offered more than ample opportunity to study Pattinson’s wacky ‘do.

While it may look like a Mohawk from one side, it’s not really that, so there’s no better term to describe it than “wacky,” as the two photos attached to this article will confirm.

It looks like something started doing in a hurry and never got the chance to finish – which is precisely the look Robert’s stylist was going for.

As we also noted on a previous occasion, fans should not worry, Robert hasn’t gone mad running with scissors. This is the look he needs for a movie role he’s now working on.

The British actor is currently shooting for “Cosmopolis” in Toronto, Canada and his character has a scene in which he flees a barber’s shop in the middle of getting a haircut.

Given the time elapsed between the first time he was spotted with the patchy, odd-looking ‘do and his appearance at Comic-Con, when he rocked the same haircut, it’s safe to assume that his character in the new film takes his time before he gets it fixed.
