Lisa Lampanelli has struggled with her weight all her life but she’s finally got everything under control. A little over a year after she got gastric-sleeve surgery, the star is at her skinniest – but she says she’s still “a work in progress.”

Showing off her amazing new figure in the latest issue of InTouch Magazine, Lisa, known for her crude humor and frankness on any kind of topic, says she’s happy to be “officially a skinny [B-word]” now.

However, she would never say that getting the surgery is the lazy person’s way out of losing weight the healthy way.

“I’ve lost a total of 106 pounds [48 kg],” she says with obvious pride.

“I feel like I’ve reached the weight I’m supposed to be,” Lisa adds, though she insists she never really set for herself an ideal weight / weight goal, let alone a “deadline” to reach it.

Every day is a battle, she says: surgery isn’t the easy way out because, to be really healthy and to make the surgery really worth it, you first have to address your issues with food.

“I have to figure out my addiction issue and how I even got overweight in the first place,” Lisa says.

Today, she’s keeping her weight in check with small meals (portion control) and plenty of exercise. One might assume unhealthy food and snacks are no longer included in the menu.

As for how Lisa has been adjusting to her to her slimmer frame, things couldn’t be better, she laughs.

“One of the best parts of losing weight has been the clothing! I roll up to Macy's and go to the sales rack and see how much I can get for as little amount of money! It’s almost like a game for me!” she says.

Last September, Lisa also spoke about how much better she’s feeling now that she’s not overweight anymore so our guess would be that this comes before the clothes on the sales rack.
