All kinds of spam, now on Google

Google is now hosting all kinds of spam, no matter we're talking about Gmail messages or unsolicited posts published on Google Groups. First of all, how can you define spam? Dictionary.com sustains spam is an "unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail." But it is more than that as Google is assaulted on all fronts by all kinds of harming content which annoys the users and disturbs their browsing experience.

Obviously, Gmail is the service which is the most affected by spam messages because it is the mail technology signed by the Mountain View company. At this time, I have no less than 1924 spam messages stored into the Spam folder in my Gmail account, most of them being received in September. Quite impressive I would say since I avoid posting my email address on the Internet including forums, websites or chat rooms. Moreover, some of the unsolicited messages managed to invade my inbox and, even if I flagged them as spam, they are continuously assaulting my Gmail folders.

Recently, it was reported that numerous websites managed to spam Google, the search engine, by publishing the same or similar results on the same page of the SERP. It's not hard to do that but Google manages to filter most spamming results or at least it managed to do that until now. However, it's pretty important to help the search giant protect its search engine by reporting the spam result discovered on the SERP.

Today, some users informed us that Google is now spammed on Google Groups, the company's discussion forums. It seems like the spammers are using the threads posted in Google Groups to redirect the users to full-of-AdSense websites which are meant to attract users' clicks and earn money with ease.

So, the Mountain View company has to do something about it because us, the customers, need protection as we all want to browse the Internet without any annoying experience.
