It has a core clock of 1006 MHz and two 8-pin power connectors

The GeForce GTX 780 graphics card is already pretty overpowered, even though it has nothing on the GTX 780 Ti. That didn't stop Colorful from overclocking it though, as the iGame Kudan 780 now shows.

The iGame 780-3GD5 graphic card is the original board modified in such a way that it performs 17% better than usual without issue.

Some of it has to do with the large triple-fan cooler. It's a good thing it's there really, since the reference fansink wouldn't have handled the extra heat.

Although the board is not exactly factory overclocked. It can work normally, but can jump from 863 MHz / 900 MHz Base/Boost to 1006 MHz with the press of a single key (one-key overclocking as it were).

The cooler shroud is actually pretty odd, although given that it's trying to be aerodynamic, it kind of makes sense.

The number of heatpipes is greater than normal too, by a factor of three. Which is a grander way of saying there are six of them.

On that note, the Colorful iGame 780-3GD5 utilizes a 12+2 phase power design with high quality i.P.P inductor and solid-state capacitor. This ensures a high overclocking ability, even beyond the automatic one.

The insulated steel plate of 2 mm is another thing, avoiding PCB bending, and the card also uses 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM over 384-bit interface. Dual DVI-D ports, 1 HDMI port and 1 Display Port complete the spec sheet.

All the improvements come at the cost of a higher power draw though, to the point where the 6-pin port had to be replaced by an 8-pin one. Thus, there are two 8-pin inputs supplementing the energy provided by the PCI Express slot itself.

Sadly, Colorful did not mention the price of the iGame 780-3GD5 video board in its press release.
