While in most countries of the world taxis are single-colored, in Bangkok, they come in a full range of colors, from pink, blue and orange to combinations of two different colors, like orange and green or blue and red. In this crowded city, colors are deep and omnipresent wherever you look.

In London, for instance, you will only find black cabs, while in New York, only yellow cabs. But if you visit Bangkok, you will be amazed by the rainbow-like panorama you'll get see on the streets.

The bright colors of the cabs make them easy to identify in the congested traffic of Bangkok, the capital and the most populous city of Thailand.

Unlike other countries, where the color of the taxis doesn't have a particular meaning, Bangkok's taxis are actually color coded, Amusing Planet says. The color of a Bangkok cab indicates its fare, its age and whether or not it has air conditioning. It can also reveal if they are company taxis, personal taxis or rental company taxis.

You can pick any color you like as the city’s streets are full of taxis, but the yellow-green ones are generally considered to be better, because they are owned and driven by the owners themselves.
