Google is running a doodle honoring Disney artist Mary Blair, who worked on many of the studio's classic and shaped their visual style. While largely unknown to the outside world, her innovative work has been an influence on designers and animators ever since.
She joined Disney in 1940 and worked on many of the famous movies of the era. She created concept art and character design for titles such as Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Cinderella.
She was also involved with projects such as Dumbo and Lady and the Tramp.
She left Disney after Peter Pan was completed, but later came back to design some of Disney World's best known attractions such as It's a Small World.
It would have been her birthday today and Google is running a doodle inspired by her work globally.
