Of NVIDIA's upcoming Fermi-based desktop graphics cards, the GeForce GTS 450 can be said to be one of, if not the most highly anticipated, and this is reflected in how its specifications have already been leaked, with some European retailers even listing models as available for pre-order.

The GeForce GTS 450 has already been said to be the planned successor for the popular GeForce GTS 250 video card, and it seems that listings of it are cropping up in Europe quite readily.

ASUS's model was revealed even before August was out and, now, a model made by colorful has reportedly been sighted as well.

The GTS 450 will be based on the GF106 graphics processing unit (GPU), a processor built on the 40nm manufacturing process technology.

Since it is based on the Fermi architecture, the chip, naturally, supports DirectX 11 graphics, in addition to the proprietary NVIDIA technologies that all boards boast.

The list of such technologies includes PhysX, CUDA and 2-way SLI, for multi-GPU configurations. OpenGL 4 is also supported.

For those interested in performance numbers, the reported listing implies that the Colorful GTS 450 has the GPU running at a clock speed of 783 MHz.

The adapter also comes with a total of 192 CUDA cores and 1GB of GDDR5 memory, while the shaders and memory have clock speeds of 1,566 MHz and 3,608 MHz, respectively.

What's more, the model features 4 Polymorph Engines, a 6-pin PCI Express power connector and a dual-slot cooler.

As for communication with a variety of display solutions, the board is designed with dual-DVI and HDMI outputs.

The card is listed with a price of 149.90 Euro but its exact shipment date is still unknown. What remains to be seen is if this card manages to aid in NVIDIA's intention to reclaim supremacy on the graphics card market.
