Although quite some time has passed since Nvidia's introduction of the GT 440 core, graphics card manufacturers are still announcing solutions based on this GPU, Colorful being the latest to join the party with not just one, but two, GT 440-based models.

Both of these cards are based on the same PCB, but offer different clocks and cooling solutions.

The faster model of the two is called iGame440 1G Ymir-U and uses Colorful's trademark Shark design which was employed for a series of other cards, including the company's version of the GTX 560 Ti.

However, this time, the company has decided to go with a simplified version of this cooler which only uses one heatpipe to draw the heat away from the GPU and into the aluminum heatsink, while the memory chips and the 3+1 VRM don't get any additional cooling.

The iGame440 1G Ymir-U runs the GF108 core at 850MHz while the memory is clocked at 3800MHz.

The second card in Colorful's GT 440 lineup is called the iGame440 1G Buri-Slim and it features a single slot design which uses a full length aluminum heatsink and a PWM fan that is run between 500 and 3000RPM.

Compared to its older brother, iGame440 1G Buri-Slim uses Nvidia's reference clocks, meaning the core is clocked at 810MHz and the memory at 3200MHz. Both models feature 1GB of GDDR5 video buffer.

The GT 440 is a higher clocked version of the GT 430 as it's based on the same GF108 GPU, features 96 stream processors, 16 texturing units, 4 ROP units and a 128 bit memory bus.

The card's TDP is estimated at a rather low 56W, enabling it to operate without requiring additional power.
