After responding to reports of gun fire, the Sheriff's deputies of Bennet, Arapahoe County, discovered the dead bodies of Eddie Davidson, the spammer who escaped from a minimum security prison facility earlier this week, Amy Lee, his 29-year-old wife, and their 3-year-old daughter. The officers also discovered a teenage girl who had suffered gun injuries, and a 7-month-old boy who had not been physically harmed.

According to the Arapahoe County authorities, when they arrived at the crime scene, a Toyota Sequoia was spotted in the driveway, and the dead bodies were near it. It would seem that Eddie Davidson turned the gun on his family, shot his wife and daughter dead, and then turned the gun on himself. The teenage girl that we mentioned before, although shot in the neck, managed to survive by running to a neighbor's house. The only unharmed one was the little baby boy that the police found in a car seat, in the Toyota Sequoia.

The University of Colorado Hospital, Denver, is currently treating the teenager for the serious injuries that she sustained. The Children's Hospital in Aurora has been handed the infant, in order to conduct rigorous examinations and determine if he had suffered any injuries.

U.S. Attorney Troy Eid comments: "What a nightmare, and such a coward. Davidson imposed the 'death penalty' on family members for his own crime."

In April, Davidson received a 21-month sentence for spam related crimes. For a period of about 3 years, from 2003 up to 2006, Davidson ran a company called Power Promoters which specialized in sending out spam messages that advertised cheap, but high risk stock. According to the bank deposit statements, over this period of time amounts in excess of $3.5 million were transferred into his account.

When she issued the sentence, Judge Marcia Krieger made it mandatory for Davidson to undergo mental health counseling, mainly because he suffered from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
