ColorFire seems to be on a roll recently, as after introducing its fully customized Radeon HD 6790 and HD 6870 solutions, the Chinese company has also developed an AMD dual-GPU graphics card which packs two Barts Pro together to form what the company calls the Radeon HD 6890 XStorm.

Just as AMD has done when it designed the HD 6990, the two Barts GPUs are linked together in an internal CrossFireX configuration via a PCI Express bridge chip.

This is placed right in the middle of the card, and above and below it there are two independent VRM's that pack a 4+1 phase design, and the required power is provided by a pair of 6-pin PCI plugs.

The rest of the PCB doesn't hold anymore surprises, outside of some special voltage measurement points, although the card should also feature dual BIOS chips, judging by the switch installed on its rear bracket.

Lately, this has become a trademark of the ColorFire graphics cards and it's used to switch between a regular and an overclocked BIOS profile.

Sadly, no details regarding the operating clocks of the Radeon HD 6890 XStorm are available at this time, but some sources seem to point out that the two Barts Pro cores can be unlocked into fully working Barts XT GPUs, which would definitely be a nice bonus for most overclockers out there.

Memory capacity is also unknown, but judging by the picture provided it would seem that the card packs 2GB of GDDR5 which are connected to the GPU via two independent 256-bit memory interfaces.

Moving to the card's bracket, we find that ColorFire has included two dual-link DVI ports, an HDMI port and a DisplayPort video output.

Right now, we don't know when ColorFire plans to officially debut the Radeon HD 6890 XStorm graphics card, but stay tuned and we'll keep you informed.
