The Irish star got fired from the sets of I'm Not There, an ambitious and schizoid biopic on Bob Dylan. Wonder-kid and controversial director Todd Haynes chose at the last minute to give the main role to Aussie Heath Ledger. Nothing is confirmed yet but the odds seem to lead us to believe this rumor.
Among other named rumored to be involved in the project are Christian Bale and Richard Gere. Haynes has previously directed Far from Heaven and Velvet Goldmine, to art-house hits so the Collin Farrell free movie is already anticipated by many art movie fans to be at least excellent, no matter who actually gets the leading role.
Taking into account the huge media exposure Heath Ledger received after the success of Brokeback Mountain and after he played Casanova, the greatest seducer of all time, choosing him to play the lead is not quite a smart option from one arthouse director.
