WorthPoint Corporation has launched an iPhone and iPad app that allows collecting enthusiasts to access the ultimate online resource for art, antiques and collectibles.

Instead of having to rely on a computer to obtain sales records and reference information on virtually any collectible item, you can now fire up WorthPoint on your iPhone or iPad and you’ll even be able to locate the nearest shopping venue, according to WorthPoint Corp.

The developers say the new app is perfect for people who frequent antique shops, flea markets and estate sales. The key benefit is the app’s instant access to pricing data from WorthPoint’s Worthopedia on purchasable items. And you can also use this handy piece of software to sell stuff.

The WorthPoint app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 4.0 or newer.
