All terrain racers are in for the time of their lives as Codemasters releases Colin McRae: DIRT trailer, the first footage of the title to come on Xbox Live Marketplace Opening with cliff-edge cornering on Pikes Peak, one of the breathtaking Hill Climb events, the video trails the bump and grind of buggy racing and reveals McRae's actual prototype performance car, the R4, in a dramatic crash sequence.

The trailer was created using in-game vehicles and environments and developers assure that this is just the tip of the iceberg of Colin McRae: DIRT which is said to launch this June for Microsoft's Xbox 360 and PC. A PlayStation3 release promises to follow shortly but is yet to be announced.

Even though the trailer shows a good variety of cars and circuits, the full game promises to immerse players into even more dirt tracks such as: mountain roads of Spain, the twisting forest roads of UK, the technical vineyard stages of Germany, the fast flowing turns of the hill climb racing in the U.S, and pretty much every other dirt track there is. Full on off-road events in Italy, France, Germany, Japan and Australia, are additional modes to keep players racing in different competitions that each require changes to the car and strategy of play.

However, leaving aside this trailer, the first actual 'in-game footage' will launch tomorrow, Thursday 29th March. It will be available to download exclusively from Xbox Live Marketplace, delivering an exhilarating thrill ride through a massive variety of off-road racing experiences. The game is coming this summer, for the Xbox 360 and PC first, followed by a PS3 release yet to be dated and announced.
