The Internet site called dirtycolin.com, which offered access to Colin Farrell's 15-minute sex tape with former girlfriend Nicole Narain, was shut down Tuesday for what the actor's publicist called a "violation of a court order blocking the explicit video's release."
The star's publicist Dancia Smith said the Web site dirtycolin.com broke the law by hosting the footage which showed the star from 'Alexander' and the former Playboy model having sex during their romance, back in 2003.
As speaking about this issue, Smith says, "A Web site attempting to distribute an unauthorized tape of Colin Farrell was shut down today. Mr. Farrell will take legal action against anyone who tries to distribute this tape."
The story of the tape is a bit more complicated, as last year Farrell took Narain to court, accusing her of attempting to distribute the tape, in order to earn money. He explained that he had never intended this tape to be for public consumption and that the release of such a footage would harm his career.
As a result of Collin's attempts to keep the tape private, a Superior Court judge issued a temporary restraining order to prevent marketing of the tape in August, but now the unavoidable has happened...
DirtyColin.com was inaccessible for much of the day, presumably due to heavy traffic after word spread via the blogosphere that the controversial tape was available online. Another Website, IDontLikeYouInThatWay.com, posted what it claimed were video stills of the movie star/ hunk and his former girlfriend in action. "Colin tried to stop us from showing you this," the latter site wrote. "Well, here it is anyways." Later in the day, the site amended its post to say that the video was no longer available.
