The British rock band Coldplay keeps its first place in the Billboard for the third week in a row, with a spectacular 181,000 copies sold last week that added up to a grand total of 1.2 million copies since the 7th of June.
Despite the recent drop in record sales (19% less from the previous week and 7.7% less than last year) and four new titles entering the top 10 (Boyz N Da Hood, Keyshia Cole, The Offspring and Birdman) Coldplay's "X&Y" managed to keep its first spot, while the single "Speed of Sound" is only placed 21st in the singles chart.
On last year's Billboard, Coldplay only managed to get the 76th spot with "A Rush of Blood to the Head" and the 193rd spot with "Coldplay Live 2003".
