Coca Cola proves once again it is on the right path to an eco-conscious conduct, through countless efforts visible in several charitable campaigns. This time, the major enterprise might decide to dismiss Santa from their commercial in order to make room for the cute, lovable yet endangered polar bears.

The beverage company plans to support the WWF initiative meant to raise the level of awareness regarding the critical situation of polar bears, a project that will most likely become successful during the winter holidays, reports Triple Pundit.

A similar spot displaying dancing polar bears and penguins raised the public opinion's enthusiasm, ranking first in a list of popular TV commercials, in 2005, according to IAG Research.

Coca Cola definitely knows what it's doing, taking into consideration that environmentally-friendly campaigns are not a new concept for the company's officials.

Four years ago, the enterprise manifested its care towards the situation of several rivers located in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. In 2007, $20 million went to support a noble cause and have been invested in water preservation strategies.

Also, the major brand contributes to conserving the balance of the Grand Canyon National Park, an important reservation put in danger by pollution and other significant man-made threats.

Even if the company was accused of manipulating the park's authorities to give up a bottle ban in the area, its contribution helped the ecosystem a great deal.

At this point in time, $2 or $3 million could change the fate of polar bears. Moreover, a segment of the fans of the popular beverage will feel encouraged to donate directly to the WWF. There appears to be only one bump in the road.

Scientists established that the people who invest in “good”, charitable brands are prone to disregard other philanthropic initiatives.

Their actions come in the favor of the company, while other noble causes and creatures in need will have to stay in line to receive support.

All in all, the fact that there is a team of great experts behind every Cola Cola strategy will most likely trigger the success of the partnership between th enterprise and WWF.

After all, AdAge didn't name the major brand “marketer of the year” for nothing.
