Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, after receiving its first full gameplay video, is now getting new details, largely through some leaks and statements from the community manager of its developer.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has now been officially revealed, after seeing some major leaks, through a short but sweet gameplay trailer earlier today.

Now, the Internet is buzzing with details on what sort of engine will power Modern Warfare 3 and what platforms will see the release of the actual game on November 8.

First up, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling, the community manager of the studio, confirmed on his Twitter account that the engine of Modern Warfare 3 will be improved over the one in the previous Modern Warfare title, and that lots of "cool stuff" were added on top of it.

"We haven't gone into detail on the engine yet but we've moved beyond the MW2 engine and added a lot of cool stuff. We definitely build up from our previous titles, in this case MW2, but are taking feedback from the franchise as a whole."

The engine of the Modern Warfare 3 was discussed earlier this year, when Bowling once again highlighted that Infinity Ward doesn't want to create all-new graphics engines because its current one is extremely versatile and can be improved with each iteration in the series.

Another report arrived from Kotaku, which, after combing through the website of the new Call of Duty title, found a reference to the platforms on which the game is going to appear.

Besides the already-confirmed PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the website also mentions two out of the ordinary ones, in the form of the Nintendo Wii and DS.

Bowling replied to these reports saying just that, "The confirmed platforms available for current pre-order is Xbox 360, PS3, and PC," so it's possible that it will appear on the Nintendo platforms later this year.

Expect more details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in the following weeks, especially during next month's E3 conference.
