Stacey Dash made her rise to fame by starring opposite Alicia Silverstone in the 1995 teen comedy “Clueless” and later in its TV spinoff. But now the actress is taking the small screen by storm again because she's just been named a permanent contributor to the Fox TV network.

Fox confirms the news and claims that the 46-year-old actress will be a paid contributor that will be offering cultural analysis and commentary on various daytime and primetime programs.

Bill Shine, network executive, is quoted as saying, “Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints among her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates. We're pleased to have her join Fox News.”

Most recently, Stacey Dash, an African-American actress who is also of Mexican descent, came under fire from the African-American community when she endorsed Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney instead of Democrat Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential elections.

Needless to say, most of her discussions on TV about her political preferences were held on the Fox network, and now they're hoping to turn her controversial nature into a higher number of viewers. They explain their decision to hire Stacey by saying that “She has since continued to use her platform as a celebrity to voice her opinions on pop culture and politics.”
