Clubs don’t want to be associated with Chris Brown, host his birthday party, report claims

Earlier this month, Chris Brown took to SayNow to plead with his fans to help him save his career by putting pressure on radio stations to play his music. That his latest album “Graffiti” was good was of no relevance, he said, if he didn’t have radio support, which is where fans should step in. Nevertheless, as StarPulse puts it, it could very well be that Brown’s problems are more serious than he might have thought.

Chris turns 21 on May 5 and, just like most celebrities, he would have liked to host a party on his birthday, which would have allowed him to spend time with both friends and fans. Though that sounds like a simple plan, word in the media is that no big club wants to host his party because, in doing so, it would fall out of favor with Rihanna, Brown’s ex. Clearly, that is a risk no one is willing to take, the report argues.

“Disgraced R&B singer Chris Brown is still suffering the after-effects of his attack on Rihanna – he’s reportedly struggling to find a venue for his upcoming 21st birthday party. The shamed star was handed a community service order and five years probation for repeatedly punching the Umbrella hit-maker during a bust-up after a pre-Grammy Awards party last year,” StarPulse writes.

“His image has taken a battering since the incident – and now Brown is even allegedly struggling to find a plush venue whose owners are happy to host the star’s 21st birthday celebrations in May. The singer has reportedly scouted for clubs in New York, Miami, and Las Vegas without success. A source tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, ‘(Some club promoters) don’t want to mess up their relationship, or their potential relationship, with Rihanna’,” the same celebrity gossip e-zine further claims.

Ever since the Rihanna incident, Chris Brown has had a very hard time cleaning his public image. As per his own words, first it was music stores that refused to sell his music album, and then radio stations turned his back on him – without counting the companies that terminated advertising contracts with him shortly after the incident. Having clubs refuse to host his birthday party would truly be the cherry on top, granted the report is accurate.
