They will do quite well in miniature-sized HTPCs and other mini PCs

The Radeon R7 250 and 250X graphics cards from Advanced Micro Devices have mostly been selling in full-size form factors until now, unlike the R7 240, but thanks to Club 3D, this has now changed.

Which is to say, Club 3D has formally released low-profile versions of both video adapters, which it called Radeon R7 250 Low Profile.

We would love to say that the new Radeon R7 250X also comes in the low-profile package, but that is not the case unfortunately.

Instead, the board comes in the Standard Profile and is meant to fill the price gap between the R7 250 and 260X. To that end, it bears a tag of $99 / €99.

That said, the Club 3D Radeon R7 250X has a GPU with a clock of 1 GHz and 640 stream processors, plus a memory bus of 128 bits.

Speaking of memory, the card has 1 GB of GDDR5 VRAM working at 4500 MHz. The Club 3D Radeon R7 250X also boasts a cooler with alloy heatsink and large fan.

Moving back to the Club 3D Radeon R7 250 Low Profile, the board has a GPU with 512 stream processors and a clock of 800 MHz.

The memory is the same as on the 250X though, 1 GB operating at 4.5 GHz over a 128-bit interface. All on a TDP of 67W.

Club 3D described it as the fastest of its video boards that doesn't need complementary or supplementary power.

Which is to say, the newcomer doesn't have or need a 6-pin PCI Express power input, much less an 8-inch one.

Moving on, the Club 3D Radeon R7 250 Low Profile has D-Sub, HDMI and dual-link DVI-D outputs. We aren't altogether certain what price this product bears, but the normal one is shipped for $89.99 / €89.99, so we imagine it's similar.
