Club 3D, like every other one of NVIDIA's partners, always makes it a point to deliver custom versions of graphics cards as early as possible, but it sometimes works more on certain models, like a certain GTX 550 Ti board.

The GeForce GTX 550 Ti video card from NVIDIA is not exactly a newcomer, but it looks like it garnered enough popularity to warrant more revisions, on the part of OEMs at least.

For those that do not remember, the GTX 550 Ti is the second strongest mainstream 500 Series that NVIDIA provided (560 Ti is the first).

It is powered by the GF116 graphics processing unit and has 32 texturing units, 24 ROPs and 1 GB of GDDR5 memory on a 192-bit interface.

The newcomer form Club 3D, however, has multiple different features, starting with the amount of VRAM itself.

Basically, instead of sticking to the standard 1 GB memory, Club 3D went ahead and added another one, for a 2 GB mid-end desktop video controller.

The GPU clock of the 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550Ti CoolStream OC Edition is of 920 MHz, not really too high a jump from the stock 900 MHz but still relevant. Additionally, the memory operates at 4,100 MHz.

Furthermore, the number of stream processors remained unchanged, meaning that the adapter has 192 CUDA cores.

Needless to say, DirectX 11 is fully supported, as are OpenGL 4.1 and the NVIDIA SLI technology, which enables multi-GPU configurations.

As for connectivity, dual-DVI and an HDMI output are present, leading to wide display compatibility and contributing to the support for the NVIDIA 3D Vision surround technology, which enables 3D playback and gaming on up to three monitors at once.

Availability hasn't ramped up yet, but it is reported that pre-orders can be set online for 184.27 Euro.
