Club 3D may have made a move on the NVIDIA-based card front, by unveiling two new GeForce GTX 460 models, but the company decided to also take a step in the area of AMD-based graphics and unleashed a new version of the Radeon HD 5670 card with 1GB of memory.

The new product was designed with the purpose of offering budget-conscious end-users a relatively decent video controller with a low power draw.

Essentially, it is expected to perform well both as a HTPC component, as well as an affordable gaming solution.

Granted, in the latter case, the product won't perform nearly as well as the higher-end models in its series (HD 5700 and 5800 models).

Needless to say, the product supports DierctX 11 graphics and the full range of ATI proprietary technologies, such as ATI Avivo HD Video & Display technology, ATI PowerPlay, ATI CrossFireX and ATI Stream.

For those interested in actual specification, the Club 3D HD 5670 is dubbed CGAX-56724CI and has 400 stream processors and 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

The VRAM has a clock of 3,800 MHz and works on a memory interface of 128 bits.

Additionally, the graphics processing unit (GPU) has a frequency of 775 MHz and is cooled off by a dual-slot cooling solution developed by Arctic Cooling.

The company describes the fansink it strapped onto its product as “an impressive GPU cooler will keep your card running at peak efficiency while keeping the noise level down.”

For a wide compatibility with displays, Club 3D outfitted its card with D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs.

Other details include 627 million 40nm transistors, the TeraScale 2 Unified Processing Architecture and OpenGL 3.2 support.

It has not been specifically mentioned when the device will start selling, nor how much it will cost, but speculations hint at under 95 Euro.
