Though it mostly focuses on video cards, Club 3D has just made a fairly daring step on the PSU market, unleashing not one or two, but five power supplies, all of them modular and with wattages of between 400W and 1,000W.

With newer and better hardware on the way, like AMD or Intel CPUs, or better video cards and memory, new PSUs are often required.

Since next-generation hardware often has the benefit of lower power consumption, new PSU end up focusing more and more on power efficiency as well.

Granted, video cards will always eat up many watts, especially in multi-GPU installments, so Club 3D was still careful to make its creations powerful.

As end-users may know, the 80Plus certification system is the one that determines just how efficient a PSU is, and Club 3D's models adhere to it quite effectively.

The CSP-S400 and CSP-S600, for instance, have power outputs of 400W and 600W, respectively, and have this certification thanks to their efficiency of over 80%. Both of them have two 12V rails.

The CSP-D700CB, CSP-D850CB and CSP-X1000CB, with wattages of 700W, 850W and 1,000W, respectively, are 80Plus bronze rated.

What this means is that their efficiency is of 85%. These three also have the advantages of four 12V rails each.

Efficiency is not the only asset of these newcomers, however, them also being designed with a variety of safety features, among other things.

For instance, all of them boast OC (Over Current), UV (Under Voltage), OV (Over Voltage), OP (Over Power) and SC (Short Circuit) protection.

Furthermore, they are compliant with the ATX 12V V2.3 standard and can cope with SLI and CrossFire X multi-GPU configurations.

Finally, the 400W and 600W units use 120mm fans for cooling, whereas the other three have 135mm spinners.

Unfortunately, there is, at this time, no information on the prices of these modular products.
