While the graphics cards manufacturers are always keen to highlight the latest innovations and advantages of their high end products aimed at gamers and computer users that can afford the latest and greatest hardware components, most of their revenues come from the entry and middle level family of products, so those are the segments that see most of the products. Among the companies to release yet another graphics card based on a middle end graphics processing unit there is Club 3D and its newest product is based on the Nvidia 8400GS GPU.

Club 3D announced the official launch of a new graphics card aimed at the middle level consumer market segment and this new product comes under the name of 8400 GS 512MB Passive and as it can be easily seen from its designation, the new card comes with 512MB of dedicated video memory and a passive cooling solution.

Centered around the mid-level Nvidia G86-300 graphics core, Club 3D's card features a graphics processing unit that runs at 450MHz and it is equipped with 16 stream processors. On the video memory department, the new card is coming in a single 512MB variant and that video memory is based on GDDR2 which runs at 800MHz, but unfortunately the memory interface is limited to 64-bit, resulting in a serious performance bottleneck.

Thanks to the Nvidia 8400GS graphics processing unit that is integrated into the Club 3D middle level card, it offers support for DirectX 10.0 and Shader Model 4.0 while also featuring a number of Nvidia specific technologies like Quantum Effects, Lumenex Engine and PureVideo HD. As Club 3D equipped this card with a passive cooling solution, it is perfect for a home digital entertainment system because it is completely silent and sports Dual-link DVI, CRT and TV out connectors.

The Club 3D 8400 GS 512MB Passive graphics card comes in a full form factor and it uses the PCI Express x16 system bus and it is fully supported by all Microsoft Windows operating systems.
