14 DAY TRIAL // Cloud data protection solutions provider CipherCloud has announced the acquisition of CloudUp Networks, a company that specializes in SaaS application security. The financial terms of the deal, closed in early January, have not been disclosed.
By acquiring CloudUp, CipherCloud wants to enhance the company’s offering with the ability to scan and tag various classes of data in order to secure sensitive information.
CloudUp’s solutions also enable organizations to gain more visibility into data compliance controls through its lifecycle.

This acquisition reflects our strategy of growing our business with the tools our customers need to go to the cloud,” noted Pravin Kothari, founder and CEO of CipherCloud.
