The player was already renamed, twice

The Blizzard player first appeared under the Neonumeric brand, as the NPMP F1 media player. Back then, it revealed a 2.4" QVGA 262K color TFT display, and the manufacturers enhanced the player to be compatible with most of the file formats available on the market, such as MP3, WMA, MTV, JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF format.

In addition, as it was not sufficient, they added a 2-megapixel camera with optional DV and even the popular FM tuner and more.

After this episode, the Blizzard was spotted again on the market, but with another name, Sweex Blizzard, manufactured by the Sweex Dutch manufacturer, and carefully crafted to meet any woman's demands. Surprisingly, the Dutch company revealed almost the same technical specification details as the Neonumeric did before. There were the same display, the same capabilities, an added e-book txt feature and a 1.2 megapixel camera, but still the same appearance and, seemingly the same success.

But the most surprising detail of this player's journey on the market is undoubtedly related to its last appearance on the market, dubbed as Benss BM-861. Some Chinese-who else-company somehow managed to copy the Dutch's player features and release a hilariously perfect BENSS player, which just like its previous versions comes equipped with all the features I have already mentioned.

Now, I don't know about you, but it seems that if a concept is good enough to turn a no-name into a big fish on the market, then all the small "fishes" around it try the same thing, with a pathetic result, but still a better price tag.

However, the BENSS player targets the female consumer-not surprised- and, just like the Blizzard, it comes with an integrated FM tuner and USB 2.0 and uses TF, Trans Flash card, which is the original version of the mivroSD cards that we use for memory extension.

I don't really now how many times this player is going to get recycled, but the truth is there are a lot of players of this kind that keep popping up like mushrooms after a warm rain.

Oh, by the way, we've been told that the fellows from PMP Today have already found a new one, dubbed "Rimax Vanilla". And the list is opened! Sweet!
