Clonezilla Live 2.2.0-2, a Linux distribution based on DRBL, Partclone, and udpcast that allows users to do bare metal backup and recovery, is now available for testing.

Clonezilla Live 2.2.0-2 is a new development version for this distribution and the developers have chosen to move a little faster with the numbering systems.

“This release was built with live-build 3, so the live-boot was updated to 3.0.1-1.drbl3, and live-config was updated to 3.0.23-1.drbl2. Due to this change, the live media mounting point after system booting now is /lib/live/mount/medium instead of the previous /live/image,” reads the announcement.

According to the developers, the underlying Debian operating system has been upgraded to a much newer version (September 30), and a few important packages have received new versions.

Download Clonezilla Live 2.2.0-2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
