14 DAY TRIAL // Clint Eastwood and his wife of 17 years Dina have effectively separated. Reports of serious marital problems have been making the rounds since earlier this year and, it turns out, there was some truth to them.
Clint and Dina have not been photographed together since late 2011, which was the first sign that not all was well in paradise, as we also noted on a previous occasion.
In April this year, Dina checked into rehab for undisclosed issues and, only days later, he was photographed without his wedding ring on.
TMZ is now reporting that the two are done.
“Clint Eastwood's marriage has gone from the good, the bad, to the ugly... the 83-year-old actor has separated from his wife of 17 years. 48-year-old Dina Eastwood – Clint's second wife – said the two remain close but have been living apart now for some time,” the celebrity publication writes.
“Dina and Clint were married in 1996 and have one daughter together, 16-year-old Morgan. Clint has seven other children from previous relationships,” the report further notes.
At the time when Dina checked into rehab, reports of an imminent divorce had already started making the rounds. In fact, insiders were telling the tabs, it was Dina who desperately wanted out of the marriage, after months of trying to get it back on track.
Before this, Dina and her daughters starred on their own reality series, which also included several appearances from Clint.
She was harshly criticized in the media for the project, which wasn’t received well by fans either – and Clint’s name was also dragged through the mud by association.
It is said that she pressured him into agreeing to the show and that this eventually worsened the problems they already had.
Dina never made it a secret that Clint did not want to be on reality television.
