Hollywood icon says he has no intention of retiring soon

Clint Eastwood is one of the few examples of a great transition from actor to director. He is a Hollywood icon, an artist respected for his vision and style and – perhaps even better –, he has no intention of retiring anytime soon.

According to Eastwood himself, if he’s still able to make movies at 105, he will surely be making them, he tells the AP.

However, he admits in the same interview that holding on to such a wish would be “the ultimate optimism.” His fans are probably thinking the same, but still hoping that it could come true.

Eastwood’s most recent directorial effort is the 2011 “J. Edgar,” a visually stunning piece that fell somewhat flat with fans and critics alike.

His next film is believed to be “Jersey Boys” (he’s not confirmed as director yet), which is now in pre-production.
