Video game developer Positech Games says that it is working on Democracy 3, a new simulation title that will allow gamers to take the reins of power and deal with the same set of problems that real-world politicians grapple with on a daily basis.

The sequel will use a redesigned neural network engine that delivers a better political and economic simulation.

The official announcement talks about “greater freedom to use both private/free market solutions to problems as well as more accurate simulation of financial markets, voter cynicism and much more.”

The Democracy series offers the most complex political simulation on the market, filled to the brim with information and options, but because of the depth of the game, players have found it difficult to deal with the learning curve.

Cliff Harris, the man behind Positech Games, has also created Kudos, Gratuitous Space Battles and Gratuitous Tank Battles.
