SpeakerSlide plugs into the iOS Device and redirects sound towards you

How many times did you find yourself in this situation: you are using your iPad or iPhone to FaceTime someone or watch a movie and the sound is just too low. Surely, you noticed that if you cup the palm of your hand around the speakers you could somewhat increase the overall volume. So why not use the same idea and turn it into reality with SpeakerSlide

This is a Kickstarter project that promises a remarkable increase in sound. The speakers in your iOS device were designed to direct sound off to the side, so watching movies and video chatting gets difficult unless you hold it in a certain position. In order to avoid uncomfortable hand position, you might want to back this project and get your own SpeakerSlide.

The little device is described as something that you plug in and it just works. It doesn't work on batteries, there is no cable attached and it doesn't have any battery draining bluetooth connections. The smaller, iPhone model fits iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s and the big, iPad Model works well with iPad Air, iPad mini, and retina iPad mini.

You can also leave it on and be sure to hear the notifications, voicemail, text messages tones, and phone calls. It is also a great way to hear music and whoever you are talking to when you are driving. It is also a great way to hear Maps Directions while driving because the sound in those apps is sometimes difficult to hear.

The best thing about it is that you can use Speaker Slide with most cases on the market and you can also plug the lightning cable to charge your device at the same time, if needed. It will only work with Apple's Lightning Cable and connector, not the aftermarket ones.

The SpeakerSlide is looking for Kickstarter backers and you can get one as low as $10 (€7.45). The product will be initially manufactured in Jet Black and Bright White for iPad. If the founding goal of $20,000 (€14,886) is reached, the developers will offer stretch goals. For each additional $5000 (€3,721) raised they will make the device in Cherry Red, Sky Blue, Fresh Green, and Citrus Yellow. Only after the $40,000 (€29,766) mark is reached will they make the iPhone version of the SpeakerSlide.

The only problem is that there are 16 days to go and they have only raised a little bit over 10 percent of their goal. But you can still make it happen so you can get yours on November 1, 2014.
