Clementine 1.2.3, a multiplatform music player inspired by Amarok 1.4, focusing on a fast and easy-to-use interface for searching and playing your music, has been released and is now available for download.

Clementine is an excellent media player that has been adopted in many new distributions. It's extremely stable, features a classic interface, and preserves an old style for the GUI.

The application can be downloaded as a binary, so most users don't have a problem with the compilation of the software. Nonetheless, the Clementine developers have fixed the compilation with GCC 4.9, in case it's needed.

Also, the poor search performance with SQlite 3.8 has been drastically improved (users should search much easier in large music collections), some dependency issues on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) have been resolved, and the Windows version now comes with OpenSSL 1.0.1g, which takes care of the Heartbleed bug.

Other changes include the renaming of SkyDrive to OneDrive, a fix for a bug that was affecting HTTPS logins to all cloud storage providers, and a number of other fixes.
