Starting today, mobile phone users in New York have the possibility to enjoy enhanced connectivity options with Clearwire's 4G services. The company has just announced the immediate commercial availability of these services for customers in New Brunswick and New York.

Clearwire brought these services to the market under the name of CLEAR 4G, and touts them as capable of delivering download speeds that are more than four times faster than what 3G is able to offer.

“With CLEAR, anyone can now use the internet at speeds four times faster than 3G - whether at home, in the office, or on-the-go within CLEAR coverage,” the company notes.

More than 11 million people in Big Apple are now offered the possibility to enjoy the CLEAR 4G services, the company announced.

The service offers coverage in six counties in North Jersey from Middlesex to Bergen County, and the five Boroughs of New York City.

As for New Brunswick, more than 630,000 people there can now enjoy the company's 4G network.

Service here covers a region stretching as far north as Woodbridge and as far south as Monmouth Junction, while reaching Old Bridge to east, and Piscataway to west.

“The arrival of CLEAR 4G in New York is a tremendous milestone for our company,” said David Barnette, vice president of sales for CLEAR.

“We're extremely excited to bring the nation's largest and fastest wireless internet service to the Big Apple, a city where people are always on the move.”

According to the company, it offers a limited time offer to new customers, who can take advantage of its online-only mobile Internet promotion to get a 50 percent discount on their service plan for the first two months.

The promotion is available here, and includes overnight shipping included and no activation fee too, the company noted.
