ClearFoundation has switched from CentOS to Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Peter Baldwin from the ClearFoundation has announced that ClearOS Enterprise 6.2 Beta 2 is now available for download and testing.

ClearOS Enterprise 6.2 is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2, unlike the previous version which was developed on CentOS 5.x.

The final version of the ClearOS Enterprise 6.2 Linux distribution will feature a marketplace, 64-bit support, a graphical installer, app developer framework, intelligent RAID configuration, and wireless support (ClearBOX).

ClearOS Enterprise 6.2 Beta 2 will also come with some interesting applications, such as Google Apps synchronization, Active Directory connector, Kaspersky Gateway Antivirus, Kaspersky Mail Antivirus, Kaspersky File ScanKaspersky File, and Zarafa Standard and Community.

Download ClearOS Enterprise 6.2 Beta 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
