The app is based on the Pomodoro Technique which alternates working sessions with breaks

Tablets and smartphones usually make our lives easier, but not if you’re trying to concentrate on a project with a dead-line breathing down your neck.

In such a situation having a tablet sitting near-by can constitute a huge distraction, as you’d probably feel an itch to quickly browse Facebook or just search for something on Google for fun.

To counteract these “noxious” mood swings, an xda-developers forum member has developed an app especially useful for tableters, called ClearFocus.

ClearFocus is a simple app which lets users set up work time periods and break times. There’s an option for setting longer breaks after an extended work session. Users will notice a big circle taking up most of the UI which will start to count down. At the center of the circle, the remaining time will be displayed.

Since most of the distractions come to us via Internet, the dev added the option of disabling Internet while the timer is active.

On top of that, notifications and sounds can be disabled as well. Now you’ll have no excuse for not finishing the project on time. You can download the app from Google Play.
