Ukrainian studio MacPaw has released CleanMyMac 2.2.2, an updated version of the company’s cleaning utility for Macintosh computers, adding a couple of new features and some bug fixes.

A powerful maintenance utility for the Mac user base, CleanMyMac has been a frontrunner for years. Version 2 improves on all of the app’s existing features, adding some new ones of its own, including a much friendlier interface and more task modules.

CleanMyMac 2.2.2 updates the Safety Database with the latest iPhoto version and adds an extended logging mode.

Fixed issues include: post-cleanup problems with Sharks 3D, Pacifist, iDefrag, and Postbox 3 apps, interface issues, and a common crash case reported by numerous users.

You can download CleanMyMac 2.2.2 on any machine using OS X 10.7 (Lion), OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), or OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). A single user license sells for €39.95, which translates into about $55 American.
