Both American Idol former contestants Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken have moved past the so-called “feud” ignited by the latter’s comments on Adam’s performance on the finale, but fans are certainly seeing this differently. Claymates (Clay Aiken fans) have taken to spreading false stories on Lambert meant to discredit him with the media and critics, a post on Clay Aiken 411 informs.

Apparently, a story surfaced on MSNBC the other day saying Lambert was, before anything, a hissy diva that was extremely hard to work with and certainly not a pleasure to have around. This went against everything fans had seen of him while he was a favorite on the popular singing competition, while also coming to contradict what he once said about not letting fame get to his head and change him beyond recognition. As it turns out, it was Clay Aiken’s fans who had fed the story to the media, and they only did it to “get even.”

“So I learn today that Claymates were behind a story that was online at MSNBC regarding Adam Lambert. False stories like these will not win the Claymates nor Clay Aiken any fans. I should not be, but I am shocked and appalled at the lengths that Claymates will go in an attempt to ‘get even’ with someone for something they have said about Clay Aiken that the Claymates deem disrespectful.” a post on the aforementioned Clay Aiken blog reads. The authenticity of this report has already been confirmed by several inside sources, including gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who says Claymates were indeed responsible for the defamatory piece on Lambert.

For those not in the know, the story had it that music bosses and organizers were already starting to grow tired of Adam’s diva attitude. Moreover, “spies” were saying that he was really letting his increasing popularity get the best of him, in the sense that he was acting with everyone as if he was God’s gift to humanity – when, the same “insiders” said, he had not even done anything major to prove his worth to the public.

“He is such a diva. Rude to everyone – from fans right down to the lighting folks. A-list celebrities have come through here and been infinitely more polite. No one sells that many records these days to be able to get away with that kind of behavior. To be a success you need literally everyone in your corner.” “sources” were quoted as saying in the MSNBC story. Neither Lambert nor Aiken have yet confirmed the above in any way, and neither are they actually expected to do so.
