At 39, Claudia Schiffer continues to be one of the highest paid models in the fashion industry, though her revenue doesn’t come exclusively from modeling, as it’s widely known. Also at 39, the famed beauty is set to become a mother for the third time, having just confirmed that she and husband Matthew Vaughn are expecting, as Us Magazine informs.

“Claudia Schiffer and her husband, director Matthew Vaughn, have announced that they are expecting their third child. ‘We are delighted with the news and can’t wait to add to our family,’ she said in a statement, adding that she is due in May. The two – who wed in May 2002 – have two children, Caspar, 6, and Clementine, 5,” Us Magazine writes.

Schiffer has often talked about her relationship to Vaughn, describing it as love at first sight. Similarly, the model often praised motherhood, saying it was definitely one of the best moments in a woman’s life. She, for one, never excluded the possibility of expanding her family, saying in past interviews it was her main focus in life, after learning shortly after being married that her career was not even half as important as she once thought it was.

“I used to work every single day and travel round the world. I worked weekends, I never took one second off. When I met my husband I said, ‘You know what, this is important. I’m not going to work weekends any more.’ And when I had kids, I became even more careful. Modeling work is fine because you can do one day here, two days there, you’re never long gone,” Schiffer said a while back.

One of the “guilty” pleasures the model is looking forward to with her third pregnancy is the ability to eat and do whatever she pleases without feeling guilty about it. When she was with child, she never worried about her weight or how she looked because she only cared about the health of the baby, Claudia was also saying a while back.
