A 14-year-old student accused of murdering his math teacher in Danvers, Massachusetts was asked to stay at school after class, the day of the crime.

According to Fox News, Rania Rhaddaoiu, a classmate of suspect Philip Chism's, details the victim offering the student assistance.

He had been scribbling in his notebook all class, instead of taking notes. Teacher Colleen Ritzer noticed and called him out on it. She was always offering after-school tutoring, reports from other children say.

Chism has been described as “antisocial” and always looking “really tired and out of it” by a different classmate.

Reports emerged that Chism killed the Danvers teacher in the bathroom. She was followed inside, punched and she had her throat slashed. Her body was then carried to the woods.
