From what we can see, Nintendo is joining forces with SEGA to further enhance the Virtual Console games library. We are talking about five new additions, some classic SEGA Genesis games: Streets of Rage, Bio-Hazard Battle, Gain Ground, Comix Zone and Bonanza Bros. These games will be available for download via the Wii's Virtual Console soon for no more than 800 Wii Points. If you find yourself low on Wii points, you can purchase them online or at selected retailers. You can get 2,000 Wii points for about 20 bucks.

Gain Ground is a game that takes place in the 31st century, and technology and science have progressed to the point that the human race is approaching perfection. This means no war, no poverty, no conflict (no woman, no cry in the words of Bob Marley). All seems perfect, but what if the Earth were under attack? With all things coming close to perfection, humans have lost their survival instincts. What is there to do to get them back? In this regard, a thing called Gain Ground was created, a war simulator meant to help humans rediscover their lost survival instincts.

In Comix Zone, we see Sketch Turner (a New York comic artist) drawing when a huge thunderbolt comes down from the sky and hits Sketch drawing. The image comes to life and turns into some sort of a mutant who ultimately decides to conquer earth. The mutant is called Mortus, and he managed to transport Sketch into his own pages to kill him and finally become real.

While in his own comic book, Sketch meets General Alissa Cyan, who supports him in his battle against Mortus. I forgot to mention that Sketch gains the ability to fight like a superhero.

I hope you find these games intriguing and that you will download them over the Nintendo VC, after all, they aren't that expensive.
