Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that its successful Civilization V strategy game will be re-released later this month in the form of a Game of the Year edition, which includes all of the previously launched downloadable content for it, as well as extra goodies.
Civilization V impressed quite a lot of gamers by managing to make some major changes to the Civilization formula, managing to win over new fans while pleasing most of the traditional Civ fans out there.
Since its release last year, the title got quite a few
downloadable content packs, bringing new civilizations, maps or scenarios that can be played by eager strategy fans.
Now, after confirming yesterday that a Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year edition is scheduled to arrive in October, Take-Two revealed that a Civilization V: Game of the Year edition is also scheduled to appear, only a bit earlier, on September 27.
Besides all the previously released DLC, including map or scenario packs, as well as new civilizations, the GOTY version also packs in a digital soundtrack.

The Civilization V: Game of the Year edition will be released on September 27, at least in the USA, and retails for $49.99.
